Chillicothe's Steven Cooper nailed the hat trick to help the Hornets Soccer team beat Savannah 4-0 in the opening round of the Excelsior Springs Tournament.
     Cooper scored first off a Grant Peterson assist in the 39th minute to give Chillicothe a 1-0 lead that held up until halftime. In the second half, Derek Hussey scored in the 50th minute off a Chase Reeter assist. One minute later Reeter fed the ball to Cooper who scored his second goal of the game. Cooper finished his hat trick in the 70th minute off a Troy Toedebusch assist.

     Toedebush also had three saves on goal for the Hornets.
