Chillicothe outscored Grain
Valley 31-17 in the second half to cruise to a 55-43 Lady
Hornets basketball win at NCMC in Trenton. Grain Valley came
out hot to build a 6 point lead in an active 1st quarter.
The Lady Eagles led by four points late in the 2nd
quarter, but Chillicothe closed the half with two free throws,
then opened the 3rd quarter with a 11-0 run and the Lady
Hornets led the rest of the game.
Whitney Clampitt had a double-double with 22 points and
12 rebounds. Grain Valley's 5'2" Junior Point Guard Claire
Rose finished with 20 of the team's 43 points. |
