     In the second installment of the Hornets vs. Savages the outcome was the same. However, this time the Hornets scored first and had the lead for most of the match. The Chillicothe Hornets were able to get on the board with a wonderful corner from Grand Peterson that was headed home by Chris Kleinschmidt to make the score 1-0. It marks the 2nd time in 3 games this combo has been able to convert an early corner kick.
     The defense was able to keep the Savages at bay the remainder of the half as they went to the break with the Hornets up 1-0. The first 15 minutes of the second half stayed the same until the Savages started to find the net. With 3 unanswered goals Savannah was able to leave Chillicothe with a 3-1 victory.
    The team played well and continued to apply pressure to the Savage defense until the final whistle. If only a few of the close misses would have found their way on frame the outcome could have been different.
     The Hornets head into the final regular season game with an 8-10 record. The Hornets will then start district tournament play as the #2 seed. The tournament will be held at Benton High School in St Joseph, MO with the Hornets taking on the Fighting Irish of Lafayette in the opening round.
