     Too many fouls and a sluggish fourth quarter cost the Chillicothe Hornets the Consolation trophy in the LeBlond Holiday Tournament, falling to Falls City, Nebraska 67-47.
      Chillicothe trailed by single digits until late in the 2nd quarter when a lay-in gave them a 1 point lead. However, Falls City hit a trey at the end of the half to take a 2 point lead, and Chillicothe would not lead again. The Hornets fought off foul problems to close the gap to with in two points at the end of the third quarter. Through those first three quarters, Falls City had hit 13 of 16 free throws, while Chillicothe was just 2 of 3, with all three attempts coming late in the third.
      Falls City turned up the heat in the fourth quarter, starting on a 5-0 run to lead by seven. Chillicothe turned cold shooting and soon fell behind by 15 points by the middle of the fourth. Chillicothe hit it's only field goal in the quarter to close the gap to 13, and managed just one more free throw after that, as part of a 24-6 Falls City fourth quarter.
      Chillicothe post player Spencer Hart, injured in the Tarkio game, warmed up during halftime of the previous game, but was back in street clothes for the start of the game. He is expected to be ready to go for the Hornets next game on Thursday, Jan 4th at St Joseph LeBlond.
