Lawson used a
sound defense to beat Chillicothe for the second time this year,
winning 55 to 47. Chillicothe put together a solid first half to
lead 27-21 at intermission, but turned cold in the second half,
falling from 57% from the floor in the 1st half to just 31% from the
floor in the second half, and more importantly, just 3 of 9 from the
free throw line in the fourth quarter.
Chillicothe led by seven midway through the third when
Lawson went on an 8-0 run to take a one point lead into the fourth
quarter. Chillicothe hit a basket early then gave up a 10-0 run over
the next five and a half minutes to trail by nine. Chillicothe never
got closer than five the rest of the game. |
