The Savannah Lady Savages used
outside shooting to down the Chillicothe Lady Hornets 51-40 in
the opening of the Class 4 District 16 tournament in
Chillicothe.
For the Lady Hornets it was a familiar problem: the
inability to put together four good quarter. Chillicothe was
down by 6 after the first and outscore Savannah in the second
to take a one point lead at intermission. Unfortunately
Chillicothe came out cold and managed just three points in the
third.
Sophomore Maggie Graves had the hot hand in the opening
quarter, scoring all nine of Chillicothe's points. Sophomore
Mackenzie Barnett was hot in the second with 8 points. She
finished a perfect 6 of 6 for 12 points.
