The Chillicothe Lady Hornets tennis team put up a good fight, but lost the district team match to Marshall 5 to 3. Laura Turner lost 6-4, 4-6, 2-6; Sydnie Whiteside won 2-6, 6-2, 6-1; Juleah Littrell lost 6-4, 5-7, 2-6; Kelsey Jones lost 3-6, 5-7; Ali Stephens won 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 and Maggie McCoy lost 6-3, 3-6, 4-6.
     In doubles matches Whiteside and Stephens at #3 doubles won 6-1, 6-0; #2 doubles Turner and McCoy lost 0-6, 0-6, ending the contest. #1 doubles team of Littrell and Jones was in progress when Marshall won the 5th and deciding match.
     Chillicothe’s girls tennis team finishes the season at 13-2, with both losses coming to Marshall.
The players travel back to Odessa on Saturday for the individual district tournament.
