It was a
definite tail of two halves for the Chillicothe Lady Hornets
in a 56-26 home loss to Benton.
In the first half, Chillicothe kept Benton in their
sights, trailing by just three late in the half before Benton
ended the half on a 4-0 run, including a steal with 5 seconds
left and a bucket at the buzzer that gave them a 5 point
lead at the half and zapped all momentum out of the Lady
Hornets.
The second half was completely different with Chillicothe
held to just four points in the entire half: A field goal in
the early minutes of the third, a free throw midway through
the third and a free throw at the buzzer. In between free
throws, Benton went on a 22 - 0 run, outscoring Chillicothe
27-4 in the second half
