Chillicothe Senior
Trent Moore had two big plays in the fourth quarter to help his team
come from behind and beat KC Hogan Prep Academy 59-55 in the
consolation semifinal game of the Savannah tournament.
Moore hit a basket and free throw with 3:37 left in the game
to give Chillicothe the lead, then hit one of two free throws with
13.7 seconds left to give the Hornets a four point cushion for the
victory.
Chillicothe hit a free throw to open the game with a 1-0
lead. Hogan answered with 8 straight points, and continued to lead
until the 4:01 mark of the fourth quarter when Chillicothe hit two
free throws to tie the game.
Moore and Hayward had 14 points each with Hayward
hitting four of five treys in the second half, after Chillicothe was
held to just one trey attempt in the first half. The Hornets 6'5"
post player Ryan Smith hit a trey from top of the key late in the
game to give Chillicothe a 5 point cushion. |
