A cold start to the
game was too much for the Hornets to overcome in a 20 point loss to
Falls City, Nebraska in the semifinals of the LeBlond Tournament.
The Hornets didn't score their first point for nearly 5:30 minutes
and didn't score their first field goal until 50 seconds were left
in the first quarter.
Chillicothe made up ground in the second quarter when a
steal and lay in by Tyler Clampitt at the buzzer closed the game to
3 points, but a fundamentally sound Falls City team slowly built a
double digit lead by the middle of the 3rd quarter and led by double
figures the rest of the game |
