Chillicothe Sophomore Mason Hayward hit a trey from the right wing
with 47 seconds left to give Chillicothe the lead for good in a
53-48 Conference win at LeBlond.
Chillicothe started fast with 22 points in the first
quarter including 13 from Senior Ryan Smith. LeBlond battled back to
take a brief 1 point lead late in the 2nd but the Hornets finished
on a 45-0 run to lead by 4 at intermission.
The lead was down to three at the end of the third
quarter and LeBlond tied the game with 6:34 left in the 4th the
first of three ties and four lead changes.
After Hayward gave the Hornets the lead, Nate McKiddy
hit two free throws with 36 seconds left to lead by four and Trent
More hit one of two free throws with seconds left for the five
point win. |
