10/10-11/2013 - at Savannah 49, Chillicothe 21

          The Chillicothe Football Hornets played a strong first half but struggled in the second half and lost at Savannah 49-21. Savannah returned the opening kick off to mid field and scored on the first play on a 49 yard run. Chillicothe answered Friday night with a 12 yard touchdown pass to DeEll Midgyett and a 2 yard Tyler Long run to lead 14-6 early in the second. Savannah tied the score on a 13 yard run but Chillicothe answered with a 54 yard run by Walker Thomas to lead 21-14. That lead would last until the kick off which was returned 90 yards for a score. Savannah added one more touchdown to lead 27-21 at intermission.
     The rains came and the game was resumed on Saturday afternoon. Chillicothe struggled in the second half, giving up a 2 yard touchdown in the 3rd, a 30 yard passing touchdown in the 4th and a 1 yard run in the 4th for the final 49-21 Savannah win. Chillicothe plays at Smithville Friday. The Warriors lost to Maryville 50 to 10.
