Chillicothe used all of
their skills to beat Hamilton for the second time this season
55 to 43 at NCMC in Trenton. The Lady Hornets used a very
effective full court press at times to force turnovers that
turned in Chillicothe points. They also used sound ball
movement, a strong shooting night combined with rebounds and
teamwork for the win.
Chillicothe's Hannah Jones hit a trey to start the game
and the Lady Hornets never trailed again, leading by as many
as 17 points in the third quarter. Hamilton closed the gap to
7 points several times in the fourth quarter but could get no
closer than that.
Chillicothe Freshman Katelyn Parkey had a strong
all around game with 15 points, 11 rebounds plus a few
assists, blocked shots and steals. The CHS Lady Hornets had
balanced scoring with all five starters averaging between
and 15 points. At one point in the fourth quarter Chillicothe
had five freshmen on the court for a couple of minutes.
