The Chillicothe Lady Hornets snapped a three game skid
and downed Trenton 52-42 at Trenton. Whitney Clampitt hit two
treys to open the game with a 6-0 lead. Trenton battle back to
tie the game twice in the final 30 seconds of the first half
and again early in the third, but never led in the game.
Chillicothe went on a 10-0 run after the third and
final tie up and led by six or more points the rest of the
game. Chillicothe hit 10 of 16 free throws in the fourth
quarter to maintain the lead.
Trenton showed a definite lack of an outside game,
going 0-for-4 from behind the arc, with three of the four
attempts coming in the final quarter late in the game. |
