Tournament 3rd Place Game
It was a tale of two halves in a 50-43 Chillicothe
Hornets loss to Staley in the Savannah third place game.
Chillicothe scored first and build a 16 point lead against the
Class 5 schools midway through the 2nd quarter.
The Hornets 11 point halftime lead faced to a 2 point
deficit when Staley opened the 3rd quarter on a 15-3 offensive
run, and increased their defensive pressure against
Chillicothe.
The Hornets managed to tie the game by the end of the
third quarter, but never led again. They closed the gap to
just two points late in the game but Staley finished the game
with 5-0 run at the free throw line. |
