     Chillicothe used good defense and free throws to edge State Ranked Lafayette County (aka Higginsville) 52-50 in the semi-finals of the Cameron Tournament.
       Higginsville had a 17 point lead late in the 2nd quarter before a Jack Willard trey at the buzzer cut the lead down to 14 points. Chillicothe came out in the 3rd quarter and turned the trey into a 17-2 run.
      Higginsville scored first in the 4th quarter for a 3 point lead but Chillicothe had a modest 5-0. With 5:00 left, Chillicothe went to the free throw line often, hitting 12 of 15 free throws in the 4th quarter, getting the taller Higginsville players in foul trouble. Chillicothe hit their final two free throws with 5.6 seconds left and let Higginsville shoot a lay up at the buzzer for the win.
