Chillicothe 65, Smithville 64 OT
The Chillicothe Hornets fought back from a 12 point deficit in
the 4th quarter to beat Smithville in overtime 65-64.
Chillicothe's Cade Snyder hit a game tying basket with 29
seconds left to send it into overtime.
Chillicothe won the overtime tip and turned it
into a quick Snyder basket. Walker Graves turned it in a 4
point lead, but Smithville's 6'6" Ryan Gesling hit a basket
and free throw with 16.2 seconds left.
Smithville got the ball back and ran a play with 4.2
seconds left. Their leading scorer Campbell Lakatos fired a
trey from top of the key at the buzzer that missed. Lakatos
suffered a poke in the eye with 2:30 left in regulation but
stayed in the game. After two free throws, he missed the rest
of his attempts in the game. Unconfirmed reports stated he was
suffering vision problems, but stayed in the game. He finished
with 25 points for the Warriors.
