Lady Hornets Basketball
 1/28/2017 Chillicothe 33, Lawson 16
at Cameron Tournament Championship

The Chillicothe Lady Hornets used patience and strong defense to beat Lawson 33-16 and repeat as Cameron Tournament Champions. The Lady Hornets set a new school record in becoming the first Chillicothe girls basketball team to win three regular season tournaments in one season.
Lawson used a patient, slow down offensive approach to eat up time in the game and tried to keep the ball out of Chillicothe's hands. The Lady Hornets countered by making every possession count, including a 12-0 run in the 2nd quarter,
The Lady Cardinals had problems scoring points with 7 of their first 8 possessions ending in turnovers
