The Chillicothe Lady Hornets scored the first seven points of the game and went on to beat Savannah 54-24 in a home conference basketball game. Chillicothe used great defense and expert ball movement to get easy baskets on offense and keep Savannah off balance.
Chillicothe led by 20 in the second quarter and by as many as 34 in the 4th quarter. Chillicothe will face Lafayette on the road Tuesday with the winner guaranteed at lease a share of the MEC girls title.
