The free
throw was the Hornets friend in a 54-44 Chillicothe Boys
basketball win over Excelsior Springs in the opening round of
the Cameron Tournament
Chillicothe hit 25 out of 34 free throws to beat
the Tigers for the second time this season. Excelsior Springs
led most of the first quarter before the Hornets took the lead
with 2 free throws late in the 1st quarter.
The Tigers built a 3 point lead in the second but
Chillicothe went on an 8-0, all of the scoring by free throws,
for a 5 point lead and never trailed again. Free throws in the
final minute accounted for the only time either team had a
double digit lead. |
