District Semi Finals
Chillicothe held off a determined Brookfield team to advance
to the District Championship game, thanks to a 69-54 semi
final win over Brookfield.
Chillicothe scored the first points in the game and led
the rest of the way, however Brookfield made things
interesting. The Hornets built a 17 point lead midway through
the second quarter.
Brookfield started hitting shots to make it a nine
point game at halftime and closed the game to just a three
point Hornets lead in the middle of the third quarter.
The Hornets responded with a run to build a 12 point
lead after three and hit free throws down the stretch run to
secure the win. including 18 of 22 free throws in the fourth
quarter.
Chillicothe Senior C. J. Pfaff surpassed the 1,000
career points mark in the third quarter, becoming the tenth
Hornet in history to reach that plateau. |
