    Chillicothe had few problems beating Kansas City Southeast 61-14 in the opening round of the Class 3 District Playoffs.
     Chillicothe went deep in the playbook for their first score, a 41 yard pass play from Wing Back Kam Ward to Wide Receiver Colten Sewell. Runs by Isaih Kille and Jaden Winder made it a 20-0 first quarter lead.
      Southeast scored on a 33 yard drive set up by a Knights fumble recovery.
     Ward answered with back to back touchdowns in the second quarter. After the second touchdown, with 8 seconds left in the half, a short Chillicothe kick off bounced high near the sideline and was recovered by Chillicothe on the 37 yard line.
     On the second play, Winder connected with Sewell for a touchdown with no time left.
      Southeast took the second half kick off and scored on an 80 yard drive. The Hornets had Southeast stopped early in the drive but a fumbled punt return kept the Southeast drive alive.
     Chillicothe had a scoring opportunity on a 58 yard drive, but a field goal attempted on a third and goal from the two yard line was just wide.
     Chillicothe switched up the offensive look with lineman Brock Gott lined up in the backfield and ran it in from 1 yard out.
      Back up Quarterback Gage Leamer tucked the ball in and took it 13 yard to the end zone and late in the game, Sewell had his second interception on the night, this one a pick six to the end zone.
