Throws and great defense were the keys to Chillicothe avenging
an early season loss by beating Maryville in MEC competition.
In the first meeting in the Savannah tournament,
Maryville star Serena Sundell had 32 points. In the MEC
meeting, the entire Maryville team had 32 points.
Free throws were key with Chillicothe hitting 8 of 8
free throws in the final 59 seconds, with four different
players all going 2 of 2 at the charity stripe.
Free Throws were made by Jordan Hibner with 59.7
seconds left, Jessica Reeter with 37/7 seconds left Brooke
Horton with 24.2 seconds and Hunter Keithley with 15.5 seconds
left.
Prior to the free throws, neither team led by more than
five points the entire game with several tie-ups and lead
changes. |
