     The Chillicothe Hornets scored the first points of the basketball game, but it would be their only lead of the game. Kearney answered with a trey and led the rest of the opening round game of the Savannah Tournament.
    Kearney responded with a 13-0 run to take an 11-point lead. Chillicothe closed it to single digits in the second, and closed it to ten in the early fourth quarter, but got no closer.
     Free throws were one difference with Kearney unofficially going 15 of 17 while Chillicothe was 3 of 7.
     Chillicothe plays Smithville Thursday at 4:00pm in the consolation semi-finals.
