Chace Corbin defeated John Miles, Marshall 6-3, 6-1
Gabe Peterson/Emmett Young lost to Jack Renfrow/Sam
Renfrow, Warrensburg 2-6, 1-6
Senior Chace Corbin qualifies for state singles
competition for the second straight season. After winning the first
set, Chace jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second set, then 6-1.
State competition begins Friday, May 20 in Springfield.
The Hornets 10-4 compete in team sectionals Monday, May
16 at 11:00 am against the Warrensburg Tigers. St Michael Archangel
high school is the host and assigned the Santa Fe Road Tennis
courts, in Independence as the site. |
