Results of the Platte Co Invite listed below.
Really a great night for our kids, as almost the entire team hit a PR of
some sort tonight. It is a very large meet with a lot of Class 4 & 5
schools (which we need to race against), but our kids still ran great &
competed until the end! Most of the new runners hit much faster times than
they have the 1st 2 meets, and a large # of my returning runners ran times
similar to what they were hitting at the end of last season, on a tough,
hilly course and in 87 degree heat. I am very happy with the improvement
we have been seeing lately in almost all of them. They have really worked
their tails off on a few difficult workouts the last few weeks and they
deserve to see some progress!
Kadence Shipers is looking so strong & focused right
now -- 23:36 tonight, which is about half a minute off her all time PR
(set at state last year). She is very driven and set on dominating her
Senior year and I have been so so proud of her work ethic, leadership, and
passion ! She has goals and she is definitely going after them.
