Chillicothe used a good offense and strong defense to beat Kansas
City East on the road. East was on offense first, and after three
plays punted, only to have it blocked at the 33 yard line.
Chillicothe was in the end zone four plays later and the route was
on.
The Hornets played everyone that made the
trip, including multiple freshmen. Kansas City East dressed out less
than two dozen players for the game. East only picked up two first
downs, both of them on their final drive, late in the game.
On Chillicothe's last scoring drive on the
PAT attempt, they simply snapped the ball and took a knee.
Chillicothe scored on every drive except
their final one. The didn't punt in the game.
The 62 points scored by Chillicothe is #13
all time, and the most since 63 points were scored twice in 2016
against Marshall in the first week and KC Lincoln Prep in the 10th
week.
