The
Chillicothe Lady Hornets basketball team led the entire four
quarters, until the final seconds and lost at Kansas City St
Pius X 55 – 50 in overtime.
Chillicothe built a 17 point lead in the second quarter.
The second half was a different story as Pius slowly
cut into the Chillicothe lead.
After trailing the entire regulation four quarters,
Pius turned in a three point play in the final seconds to tie
the game. They won the overtime tip, hit their first
basket in overtime and held on for the win.
Pius hit five of seven free throws in the
overtime period. compared to Chillicothe’s two of three for
their only two points in overtime. |
