Chillicothe had opportunities to score, including three in the final
three minutes, but came up just short in a 3-2 loss at St, Paul
Lutheran in Concordia.
The Hornets had 19 shots on goal but only found the net
twice, while St Paul's connected on three of their five shots on
goal.
St Paul's scored 30 minutes into the contest unassisted. They
built on that lead 15 minutes into the second half for a 2-0
advantage. The Hornets battled back with a Josh Adams goal off a
Gabe Hansen assist 27 minutes into the second half.
Two minutes later, Jackson Reeter scored off a Hansen Assist
to tie the game. St Paul's scored what would be the game winner 35
minutes into the second half for the final 3-2 St Paul's win.
Chillicothe had their opportunities with shots on goal
by Johnny Sanchez and Wyatt Brandsgaard pus a free kick opportunity
in the final three minutes, but none of them found the net.
Others credited with unsuccessful shots on goal were
three for Sam Reeter, one for Jackson Reeter, two for James Mathew,
three for Jadon Collins and two more for Wyatt Brandsgaard earlier
in the contest.
