It was Jackson Reeter's turn for a hat trick in a 5-1 win at
St Joseph Benton. The Hornets offense was a whirlwind of activity
with a total of 19 shots on goal. For Benton, only one of their
eight shots on goal found the net past Hornets goalie Carson Steele.
It took less than three minutes to break the Cardinals
defense when Gabe Hansen fed Jackson Reeter who netted the ball. Ten minutes later it was Hansen
with the goal and Wyatt Brandsgaard with the assist.
Sam Reeter was next on the scoreboard thanks to a
James Mathew assist midway through the first half and the 3-0 lead
held up the rest of the first half.
Nine minutes after intermission two of the Reeter
clan connected for a goal. Jackson had the goal and Sam the assist
for a 4-0 Hornets lead.
Benton's only goal came midway through the second
half.13 minutes later Jackson Reeter wrapped up the scoring off a
Gabe Hansen assist.
Hornets Goalie Carson Steele had eight saves in
the contest.
Chillicothe players credited with shot attempts
that did not find the net were Jadon Collins with two,, Hansen with
one, Sam Reeter with four, James Mathew with two, Jacob Adams with
four, Wyatt Brandsgaard with five and Jackson Reeter with one. |
