The Lady Hornets' Tennis team traveled to Trenton for their second
head-to-head dual with each other this season. The Hornets once again left
with an 8-1 win as a team; this time exhibiting really solid doubles play
even during tight matches.
Coach Chambers was proud of the mental toughness her
players exhibited as they barrel toward post-season play next week. Even
with chilly, overcast conditions and some early games lost, the team
fought back, which is the type of play she knows they will need late in
the season.
Coach Chambers said "Cami Carpenter had another
stunningly tough, close match versus Astrid Soriano, which Cami once again
pulled out utilizing her consistent long-ball game. "
Individual Results
Cami Carpenter and Bryton BeVelle beat Soriano and Leininger 8-6.
Rylee Washburn and Izzie Garr beat Voorhies and Hall 8-2.
Madison Kieffer and Micah Crowe beat Wright and Lee 9-7.
Cami Carpenter beat Soriano 8-6.
Rylee Washburn beat Leininger 8-1.
Izzie Garr beat Voorhies 8-3.
Bryton BeVelle beat Hall 8-2.
Madis0n Kieffer lost to Wright 4-8.
