The Lady Hornets used
sound defense and solid free throw shooting to beat St
Pius X in a State Sectional home win over St Pius X.
Pius led by one point after the first quarter, but it
was all Chillicothe after that, thanks to Chillicothe
out-scoring Pius 11 to 1 in the second quarter.
The free throw line was friendly to Chillicothe, going
20 of 22 at the charity stripe compared to Pius' 9 of
14.
The game was played before a packed house at
Chillicothe, including a large and vocal student

Next up for the Lady
Hornets is Notre Dame de Sion on March 8th .de Sion beat
Oak Grove (12-15) 56 to 21` to improve to 16-10. This
will be the first meeting of the two schools since the
Kearney Tournament in Jan 2020.
