From The Chillicothe Yearbook
"The athletic season opened with
football. A meeting was held in Sept. and the officers elected
were Van Chapman, Captain and Reynolds Barney, manager.
Practice was begun immediately but owing to the lack of spirit
shows among the boys the team was not the success it should
have been. Then because the students would not back the team
by patronizing their games, and the lack of a good coach, the
team became disheartened and disbanded. Let our cry for next
year be a "Good Coach"."
